Molecular diagnostics is a rapidly developing branch of lab medicine which investigates human, animal, bacterial and viral genomes and their products. In our laboratory, this section primarily deals with testing of viruses through the process of polymerise chain reaction (PCR). Our laboratory is NABL accredited for the testing of covid-19 samples with a running TAT of 6-8hours. The testing equipment are Roto gene (QREX), Quant Studio (QS5), Agilent technologies.
